In this assignment we were asked to make 2 certificates for the math department! I created a classic certificate with bold text and our school colors! I think I could of took some more time with these but in the end I'm happy with how they turned out!

Artist Statement
As a high school student, I take pride in my work weather it being in English or my art classes! So when I had the chance to choose my art classes I chose Digital Design and Photography, I already knew that I loved taking photos of nature and all that good stuff but I was just a little skeptical of Digital Design. The reason for that was because the simple fact of it being an art form I have never done before. I didn't know how to work with Photoshop and I didn't really understand anything to do with Illustrator! I soon found myself playing around with the tools and creating random pieces that I would throw together and trash because they were for fun! We were given many assignments ranging from our school library mural to designing and building a milk carton! The one assignment that I gave my all at was the HAND competition, which involved students around our county to create a piece that could inform people about affordable housing. We were asked to create a slogan and something that would appeal to people everywhere. In the project shown below, I created a bright color scheme that would be inviting. The real theme of the piece was about family and how all families need a place to call home! I used the element of a house in the middle and the two families going home. I also added the state of Indiana as the "A" to embellish it a little more so it wasn't boring! Voice was a huge part of that piece, For me I really agree with everything that HAND does and how they aren't doing it for them they are doing it for the people. I also believe that for a family to be a family they need a home, somewhere where they can grow and evolve into the best people that they can be! In the end, Digital Design was a really great experience and I can't wait to further my skills in the design world!
HAND
In this project we were asked to create a piece for HAND, They are a company that focuses on housing and how our county needs cheaper living. We had to make the piece appealing and it had to have a slogan. I decided to focus on the family side of things because a family needs a home to grow and evolve. I came up with the slogan; Building Hamilton County One Home at a Time! This design was chose as first place and is now hung in their offices!

Storyboard
For this assignment, we were given the task to create a cartoon that we would have to scan into Photoshop. I really wasn't completely comfortable with this assignment because drawing isn't my strong suit. I don't have this completely finished but I have most of it done. This was a really hard assignment for me because I'm not good with coming up with stories. I do think my piece turned out okay I don't think it's really good but I like it!
Font Family
For this task, we were asked to create our own font in Adobe Illustrator, I wanted mine to look very abstract and different from your normal fonts! I feel like I executed this very well and I really like the end result. I were to change anything I would probably make the 'M's better sized and better looking! Overall I like this work!
Library Mural
For this assignment, we were given the task of designing a new library entrance! We were given a template and the school said that they liked it except for the colors so what I came up with was the idea of keeping the same pattern but changing the colors to our school colors! Also I did add our school name to the middle! I really liked my end product I thought I did a pretty good job!
